Marketing Jobs Over $200K
End Jan '24 Update
The job market is noticeably warming up!
Currently, there are around 21,500 marketing jobs open in the US, including 2,500 senior-level positions.
The good news is that the number of senior marketing jobs went up by 2.3% last quarter, even though the overall job market was a bit slow. 41% of these senior positions have salaries, and the median pay is right now at $157,000. 16% of the current roles are remote and 10% are hybrid.
Is remote work here to stay?
Well, at the end of 2023, close to 3.5 percent of vacancies in the US were remote, but remote job openings dipped about 11% during the year.
So there has been a slight shift back to the office.
Among the most common types of remote roles were IT (10.4% of all remote postings), marketing (10.0%), and business development (8.8%).

Senior Director of Content and SEO at Autodesk
Remote
Compensation: $201,500 - $326,040
Posted: 3 weeks ago
Autodesk, a leader in 3D design, automation and construction, currently has more than 430 vacancies. The company has slowed its hiring compared to the start of 2023, but there has been a pickup in recent months.
20% of Autodesk’s open roles have salaries listed. These are mostly senior positions, and the median salary is at $146,000.
13% of the company’s positions mention the possibility of working remotely. Autodesk has quite a few lucrative positions open and is willing to pay as much as $450K. The company is also looking for Machine Learning engineers with salaries as high as $225,000.
Why Autodesk?
Autodesk is a recognized leader provides solutions to a variety of industries, that’s unusually broad reach. It represents a great opportunity for content marketers who like the variety and challenge of having to plug products for multiple audiences.
The salary for this role is above the market average of $190K for senior director-level positions.
The mention of AI in the job post indicates opportunities to work on content production and optimization automation.
If we were to recruit for this role, we, therefore, be looking for one-to-one and one-to-many experience, spanning B2B and B2C, which is rare.
If you’re applying for this role, you should emphasize your experiences not just in content and SEO, but being a good partner with other internal teams and demonstrate your understanding of demand-gen, and account-based marketing.
The Autodesk CMO, Dara looks for the 3 C’s when she’s recruiting for her team: Courage, Conviction, and Confidence. In a nutshell, she needs people with a POV and those who trust their intuition.
Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Channel Strategy and Operations at Linkedin
Remote
Compensation: $240,000 - $375,000
Posted: 2 weeks ago
There has been a noticeable spike in hiring at LinkedIn since the beginning of the year.
Currently, LinkedIn lists more than 200 vacancies. Most of them have remote or at least hybrid options indicated. Around 35% of job listings provide salary transparency, and the median pay for these roles is at $149,000. The highest salary number mentioned in LinkedIn’s current listings is $460,000.
Why LinkedIn?
Very few jobs out there have such a strong impact on the way we work, and making work more equitable, but this senior role at Linkedin affords that opportunity.
The salary for this role is $240,000 - $375,000 - which is well above the median wage of $180,000 for VP positions in the US.
Dentsu was retained as the global media agency of record for Microsoft after a closed review. Given that LinkedIn is a subsidiary of Microsoft, it's likely that Dentsu's work for Microsoft could extend to or influence LinkedIn's media strategy as well. However, the establishment of this role looks like a retooling of the strategy at LinkedIn around paid media.
If we were to recruit for this role. we’d be thinking about someone who has both B2B and B2C experience. They are also emphasizing thought leadership, so we’d appreciate seeing examples in the resumes of successful B2B influencer programs. Finally, as they are also craving POE (Paid Owned Earned) channel experience, a Media Agency practitioner would be a good fit.
VP, Product Marketing and Strategy at Circle
Remote
Compensation: $270,000 - $310,000
Posted: 3 weeks ago
Currently listing more than 50 openings, Circle, the operator of USDC, has sped up hiring in the last six months. Most of Circle’s job listings have salaries listed in them and median pay is at $202,000. Close to 89% of open roles are remote.
They are hiring for multiple VP roles, VP of Content Marketing and VP of Treasury Services. The role with the highest salary offered is Senior Director of Security Operations.
Why Circle?
The hiring manager, Nikhil Chandok, Chief Product Officer, has an amazing resume. He is credited with the acceleration of YouTube music, and he later left Google for Meta’s AR Glasses team. He has now changed his focus to the world of decentralized finance.
With a salary range of $270,000-310,000, it is among the highest-paid positions the company advertises. The median salary for a VP position is currently at $180,000.
This will be a hard role to fill and they are asking for a lot of experience for the price tag. It will be hard to find someone who can do PR, Developer Relations, Partner Activation, Go-To-Market, and lead the charge on hiring and establishing metrics and KPIs, all while staying informed on competition, regulatory, and market developments in the blockchain space.
Applicants should emphasize experience in partner ecosystems, team building, and bringing complex technical products to market.
If we were hiring for this role we’d look at talent from other mature DeFi or L1 Blockchain companies, but we’d also explore businesses outside of Crypto and even Finance. Other companies who maintain developer communities and ecosystems such as Unity (who recently made layoffs) and Autodesk who we just featured could have the right caliber of talent.
CMO at HeyDay Skincare
Remote Flexible (but located within proximity of New York City)
Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000
Posted: 8 days ago
HeyDay Skincare, with an ambitious expansion plan, has picked up hiring lately, posting 87 positions. All of the roles have salary ranges mentioned. Two main groups of professionals the company is looking for are aestheticians and sales associates. Another senior position at HeyDay is VP of Technology with a salary as high as $225,000.
Why Heyday?
Simple - it’s a CMO gig at a company with big ambitions.
The median pay for CMO roles in the US currently is at $200K. The median salary for full-time positions in New York is $190K.
If we are hiring for this role, we will focus on finding a candidate who can balance the pace of a high-growth company with the strategic rigor of an established national omnichannel business. As they are in the mood for national expansion, we’d specifically target talent who have experience growing a regional name into a national one.
If you’re thinking of applying, emphasize experience in physical marketing (Out of Home, Retail) and Digital Experiences, as what HeyDay offers is very personal and very much in real life. For bonus points, experience working with franchisees would be beneficial, so a QSR / fast-food background is not out of the question – in fact, their head of franchise development is ex-Dunkin’ Donuts.
Senior Director of Acquisition Journey Marketing at Geico
Remote (but within commuting distance to one of Geico’s Regional offices)
Compensation: $195,000- $315,000
Posted: 10 days ago
We saw a significant increase in hiring at the end of last year at Geico, currently at 300 positions. 7 of these positions are in the salary range of $195,000 - $315,000. 70% of Geico’s open roles have salaries listed, and the median salary is at is $147,000.
Why Geico?
Great gig for a media agency practitioner.
Competitive salary vs. a median salary of 190K for senior director positions in the US.
A company that has bounced back financially and is in significant growth mode again.
If we were hiring for this role, I’d go straight to tap top talent from Horizon Media, who will know the Geico account, and likely bring the required experience in consumer journey mapping as well as paid, performance media. We would also look to tap media agency talent serving other large insurers – such as State Farm or Liberty Mutual. The teams at IPG’s Initiative agency may be especially vulnerable as their insurance account is reportedly under review (per BusinessInsider)
If you are applying for the position, be ready to demonstrate experience with low-cost CPA and lead gen at scale.
Sr. Manager/Director, CRM and Lifecycle Marketing at BillionToOne
Remote
Compensation: $180,000-$225,000
Posted: 11 days ago
BillionToOne, a precision diagnostics company, with more than $300 million in funding, are currently listing 38 positions. The company slowed the hiring process at the end of last year and has picked it up recently in the new year. More than 40% of BIllionToOne’s vacancies have a salary listed in them and median pay for these positions is $140,000. Close to 70% of roles are remote.
Why BillionToOne?
It’s a role that’s doing some good in the world because of the company’s mission!
It’s the company’s first, flagship product so it’s a pioneering role.
No prior experience in healthcare is mandated on the JD, which is unusual for a health-tech company seeking a marketer.
The base pay range of $180,000-$225,000 compares favorably with the $165,000 median pay for senior manager positions in the US, and $130,000 for full-time positions in Menlo Park, California, where the company is located.
If we are hiring for this job, we’d look for experience in developing touch points for customers in other emotionally sensitive, highly regulated environments with ethical considerations. We’d be tapping talent from rivals in the medical screening space, like Illumina, Perkin Elmer and Roche, who have in-market products in the pre-natal screening space specifically.
